John and Jackie both graduated from Northland Baptist Bible College in 2004. Two weeks later they were married and moved to High Point Camp and Conference Center. Praying for a full time positon in the camping ministries, they were asked to join a group in December of 2005 to go to a camp in Chile. Little did they know at the time, but that trip would be God's answer to the full time camp position that they were praying for.

Travels

The summer has flown by.  It seems like only yesterday summer was starting, now fall is on our doorstep.  We were able to go many places and see many things these last few months.  We recently returned from a trip out west.  We were able to attend a wonderful missions conference in Denver, Colorodo.  The church was such a blessing to us.  While we were out there we were able to climb a multipitch climb and single rope repel down.  What a great time!  From there we were able to go to Utah to visit Jackie's sister and help out with some work that was being done at their camp.  We were also able to visit a church and present our ministry while we were at her house.  God has been so good to us.  We are looking to return to Chile October and November.  Please pray that all the details work out with that and the necessary funds will come in for us to accomplish the tasks needed down there. We are really looking forward to going "home" for a few weeks!

Graduation

Time has flown during our stay here in Michigan.  We have had a wonderful time and great fun with our family. Praise the Lord fo great contacts while we have been here in the area as well as promised meetings for our next trip here.  We just returned last night from Northland Baptist Bible College where Julie, Jackie's sister graduated.  Julie and her husband are serving in Utah, where they have a ministry to the mormans through a horsemanship program.  We will be here in Michigan for one more week and then we will be headed to New Hampshire for a mission meeting for our mission board.  After that, we should be returning home for a couple of months.

April

Hello from beautiful Michigan!  The birds are singing, buds are beginning, and the weather is absolutly wonderful!  It was 82 degrees yesterday, that is SO nice!  We have been waking up to the turkeys (wild ones) as they make noise getting down from their roost in the trees outside the windows.
We were able to visit a church yesterday, not to present our ministry, but to see what it was like as we are meeting with the pastor in a couple of weeks.  It was really nice and we really enjoyed our time there.  We have been very encouraged while we have been here.  One of our pastors has met with John and is taking him to a conference Tomorrow to meet with some other pastors.  God is so good to us by putting people into our lives  that have been helping us along the way.
My sister and her husband fly in Sunday for graduation in May.  Please pray for their safety.  We are really excited about being able to spend some time with them while we are all home!
   Have a wonderful week!

Happy Spring

Hello and welcome to Spring!!!! This has been a funny spring, with snow and cold weather, but I have to say it is a beautiful spring day as I look out the window with the sun shining in today. It has been so fun to watch the animals walk buy the house, we have seen deer, turkeys, raccoons, squirrels, and birds just to name a few.  It is so cool.
We had a wonderful time at NBBC during the missions conference.  It was so nice to meet up with old friends and meet many new ones!
Being I just sent out our newsletter, there is not a whole lot new going on.  Sorry about the delay since the last blog, we have not been at a place with internet access that would allow us to get onto our website to say anything.  Hopefully these next few weeks, while we are in one spot, will be a little better.  Have a wonderful day!

Quick update from Thanksgiving

Hello and sorry for the long time since the last update.  Praise the Lord for the ways He has been providing for our trips.  I will try to quickly bring you up to date since Thanksgiving.  We left for Chile the Wednesday after Thanksgiving for a great work trip! Praise the Lord for all that was accomplished.  I have many pictures from that trip and I will soon be putting them on here.  We returned December 15, and left for Michigan around the 20th to spend Christmas with Jackie's family.  We then traveled to Maryland to be with John's parents for New Years.  We were so thankful to be able to see both families and have wonderful holidays with both.  January 1st we returned home and on the drive up found out that $3500 was provided for us to return to Chile for the month of January! God is so good to us!  So, Tuesday John worked out the details for our tickets, and we left Monday for Chile!  The purpose of that trip was two-fold.  First we were joining a work team at Pirque.  While we were there, we were able to see the far dorm finished on the inside and the outside begun.   After leaving Pirque, we headed south to Lican Ray for our missions annual conference.  We were able to meet all of the GMSA missionaries and spend a week being refreshed by the preaching of God's Word. We returned to Santiago via an overnight bus ride on Tuesday night and Wednesday night flew out for the States.  We returned Thursday around lunchtime and are now working on follow up calls to churches.  We have three meetings this month.  Please pray that God will put us in contact with churches that are looking to join a ministry in Chile.  Thank you for your continual prayers and encouragement.
